obsessive Kusama Yayoi 我是小圓點/草間彌生



It's full of polka pots from my vision of world.

she surfered from hallucination and experienced tough life of her pardola's box, which bagan covering surface with polka pots. Those polka pots as she describe is related to her visons of world, "sun, moon and earth". From someone points of view, she may be a psychoic living in her own space and not deal with what's reality.

「我有如走在沒在盡頭的路上、踏上沒在盡頭的扶手電梯，直到死﹔
又有如喝了一千杯咖啡、或吃了千萬呎通心粉！」----草間彌生

As she explained her installations are showed the world has covered by polka pots which is a cell of mankind from the signle of cosmos, and she tried to create a hypr-aura to connect with things.
「我觀看著紅色桌布上的花紋，開始在周圍尋找是不是有同樣的花紋， 從天花板、窗戶、牆壁到各個角落，最後是我的身體、宇宙。

 在尋找的過程中，我感覺自己被無限大的時間,與絕對的空間,不停旋轉著，我對紅色桌布和上面的花紋,産生了強烈的恐懼，我認爲它就像是咒語，正在剝奪我的生活，我爬上階梯企圖逃離，但階梯卻在我腳下散開，我從上面跌下來。」----草間彌生
